Challenge:
Create a crystal cd case and merch line that reflects the message of the single “Okay For You” by Minor Priorities. The song talks about the battle of learning to be okay after the loss of a loved one.
Solution:
The tree stump is used to represent a gravestone along with a handprint used to represent the longing for what used to be there. Abstract imagery is used throughout the case design and merch to represent the relationship of life and death. The front cover is purposely chaotic to represent the rang of emotion that are felt when you first lose someone, but as the viewer looks through the rest of the designs those elements become clearer.
